Crown Braid

Step 1: Begin with a middle parting in your hair, then take a one-inch hair strand and create the classic 3-strand braid from the right side, tie with a pony or small elastic band.

Step 2: Repeat the same for the left side

Step 3: Take both the right side and left and Pull the two braids behind your head and begin aligning them in a criss-cross fashion

Step 4: Once aligned, begin to pin up the braids one underneath the other.

Pony Tail Braid

Step 1: Start off with making a deep side part.

Step 2: Take the right section, separate your hair into three strands and create a dutch braid alongside your ear

Step 3: “Pancake” the braid, which means tug at small pieces of your braid so they loosen up and create more volume.

Step 4: Take a two-inch section at the middle of your head and then go forward to do a standard three-strand French braid down the middle.

Step 5: Moving onto the other side, create a two-strand twist and secure with a pony or elastic band.

Step 6: Pull all your hair up into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic.

 

Fishtail Braid

Step 1: Divide your hair into two sections

Step 2: Take a strand of hair from the left section and put it across the right section

Step 3: Pull the thin strand of hair  up and across the left section, then place the thin strand beneath the right section

Step 4: Begin to lightly tug on 2 sections in order to tighten the braid. Move your hands up as far as they can go. Then take the section of hair and put it up against the right and repeat the same for the left section,

Step 5: Keep alternating sides until you reach the end of your hair

Step 6: Secure at the end with a pony or elastic band and tug it from the sides to give a more voluminous look.

Hair Band Braid

Step 1: Equally part your hair down the middle

Step 2: Begin with the left side, take a handful of hair and separate it into three pieces.

Step 3: Following the dutch braid  “left under, right under,” adding small sections of hair as you go.

Step 4: Continue braiding around your hairline and secure it at the top of your head.

Step 5: On the right side, create a second dutch braid (following steps 2 through 4 above) and wrap it around your head on the opposite side, making sure the two meet.

Step 6: Wrap the end around the first braid and secure it with a pin in place.
