Pakistani Pilgrims at the Grand Mosque Chants Against PM Shehbaz Sharif
Shehbaz Sharif and his companions arrive at the Grand Mosque in Medina and Pakistani pilgrims present chanted and shouted against the PM.
During PM Shehbaz Sharif and his entourage’s three-day visit to Saudi Arabia — their first international travel since taking office — a group of Pakistani pilgrims assaulted, heckled, and yelled slogans at the Masjid-i-Nabwi in Madina.
On the behest of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the minister and his party arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday.
On Thursday evening, the Prime Minister and his companions arrived in the nation and conducted worship at the Prophet’s Masjid. He and his companions broke fast with the guardian of the Two Holy Mosques and the King of KSA.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, Bilawal Bhutto, Miftah Ismail, Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, Mohsin Dawar, and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi are among those who are accompanying him.
When PM Shehbaz and his entourage arrived at the grand mosque of Masjid-e-Nabwi yesterday, however, there were unpleasant events. As per social media recordings, Pakistani worshippers visiting the mosque began yelling “chor” (robbers) chants as immediately as they spotted Shahbaz Sharif.
In some other videos, when federal officials Shahzain Bugti and Mariyum Aurangzeb are taken by Saudi security, visitors can be heard taunting and shouting nasty insults toward them.

In reaction to the shouts, Aurangzeb claimed in a televised address that the crime was carried out by a “chosen number,” while other Pakistanis honoured the sacredness of the mosque. She refused to call out the individual responsible for this event because she didn’t want to politicise this sacred country. She also stated that she had prayed for such people’s counsel.
On the 27th of Ramazan, Pakistan Muslim scholars Council chief Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi criticised the incidents, saying that Muslims were supposed to drop their heads and quiet their voices at Masjid-i-Nabwi rather than shouting nasty chants and making accusations.
Meanwhile, PTI Secretary-general Asad Umar stated that all must preserve the sacredness of holy mosques.
لوگوں میں جو غم اور غصہ پایا جاتا ہے اس کا ہمیں احساس ہے، لیکن مقدس مقامات کے تقدس کا احترام کرنا ہم سب پر لازم ہے.

Miftah Ismail, Pakistan’s Minister Of finance, described the incident as a low point in the politics of Pakistan.
The sloganeering yesterday in Masjid-e-Nabwi was a new low in Pakistani politics. This was truly beneath contempt and beyond shameless.
