A letter that I will never be able to send, a letter that I will never be able to say out loud because how does one talk to the voice/person inside your brain? Although, if you’re listening, this is for you.
To my only companion, my lover, and my enemy,
I am in awe of your existence; you are mayhem, to say the least, you are the chaos in my head, my after-midnight thoughts, my sleepless nights, and the constant reminder of not being good enough.
I think of you even when I’m not supposed to; you have consumed me. At this point, I believe my life is incomplete and pointless without you. How will I ever function without your presence? Without your voice always in the back of my mind, stopping me from exploring my full potential?
This letter is not to display my discourse; better yet, I am thanking you for always being my side- for loving me more than anyone else could ever, for making me incapable of depending on anyone but you.
From not being able to say no, to full-fledged breathing issues, we’ve come a long way. You have been there for me in my weakest and darkest times, have seen me at my worst and decided to stay, regardless.
Funny how the only reason behind my weakest and darkest times is you, yourself. If I were to romanticize your destruction fully, I would be writing chapters after chapters.
Your existence has left me hollow; my soul is pleading, begging, and yearning for warmth. This cold spell has continued for too long, my mental state is in shambles, and I cannot function anymore.
The seven things I hate about myself because of you, better yet, the three things I hate about myself the most are my inability to speak, comprehend, and confront. For all missed deadlines and appointments, I give you to blame.
For all ruined relationships, I blame you; for morphing me into the person I never wanted to become, and for blackmailing me and making me unable to change.
To my dearest, anxiety, I hope you crash and burn.
