Biden Promises to Lift Muslim-Ban on First Day
As the 2020 presidential election comes to an end in the USA, Joe Biden, the new President of the USA, has promised to lift the Muslim-ban on his first day!
Joe Biden, recently elected President of the United States of America promises to lift the Muslim-ban Trump, former President, placed on several Muslim majority nations from traveling into the USA.
On Monday, once Biden was elected as the winner of the 2020 presidential election- the Trump campaign has refused to accept this and has filed several lawsuits ever since, challenging the ballots and the counting process.
During his election campaign, Biden promised to undo several policies instated by Trump-like the Muslim-ban. Addressing a Muslim voters’ club in July, Biden described the Muslim-ban as unjust and promised to lift the Muslim-ban.
Moreover, Biden promises that on his first day at The White House, one of his four first executive orders will be to lift the Muslim-ban on traveling. His executive actions will also include rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, resuming the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and rejoining the World Health Organization.
Apart from Biden’s promise to lift the Muslim-ban, his decision to rejoin the World Health Organization was seen as a precautionary measure to combat the coronavirus. Former President, Donald Trump’s, decision to quit the organization in the middle of the pandemic was rash and unnecessary. Since then, Biden has created an advisory board consisting of doctors, and scientists.
Furthermore, there is speculation that the process of transition will be rather complicated for Biden since Trump’s administration refuses to accept Biden as the president-elect and will probably not transition as easily, and not in time for the inauguration of the new President by January 2021.
However, Biden’s promise to lift the Muslim-ban on traveling to the USA has already made him a majority favorite, while some may be opposed to his elections and in hopes of reversing- only time will tell what will unfold.
