Couple Hundred Kids Get Haircuts At Karachi Relief Camp
A group of individuals gives haircuts and hygiene kits to kids and adults at relief camps in Karachi. They hired trained stylists for the task.
When a handful of friends organised a licensed crew of stylists to give 250 kids and some grownups haircuts and provide sanitary kits to flood victims at a relief camp in Karachi on September 4, what initially began as an initiative suggested on a Twitter account brought to fulfilment.
One of the organizers, Syed Hussain Mujtaba Rizvi, tweeted about the event on Monday.

Syed Hussain Mujtaba Rizvi uploaded a video that showed a summary of people getting haircuts who had been affected by the flood. Additionally, the team members were introduced, demonstrating that the hygiene kits came with standard items like a toothbrush, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and a pocket comb.
Rizvi identified all the individuals participating in carrying out the plan. He said he seized the chance to give back to the community on Sunday by carrying out an action inspired by a suggestion made by Mujahid Sehwani and Ali Khuwaja and with the assistance of Mr Malik Shakir and Muhammad Fahad Anwar, the idea was carried out.
He disclosed in an interview that the four barbers working there, led by Shakir, were extremely skilled experts from Malik’s Grooming Saloon. He added that when they implemented the plan, the concept was debated on a Twitter area. Anwar was providing moral support for Rizvi as he oversaw the entire procedure. Sehwani put together the hygiene kits.

One of the flood victims at the relief camp interviewed by the news station said they got here 5 days ago and after then had acquired nicer clothing to wear, as well as nicer days for their damaged hair. One child said that before coming here, all of their clothes were wet and that now they have haircuts, dry clothes, and even their nails are clean. An elder discussed how the proliferation of illnesses like diarrhoea among the kids, which should become better with this hygiene initiative.
