President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will suspend immigration into the US temporarily. Let’s be honest over here, Trump has never been a supporter of immigrants. He has previously tried to stop immigrants from entering the US and now uses COVID-19 as an excuse to do so.
He tweeted about the suspension:
“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!”

However, people are not fooled by it and have called him out over his lack of decision-making skills. He has mismanaged the virus by not taking the intel seriously. As a result of not taking it seriously, the US has become an epicenter of COVID-19 with over 790,000 cases.

The White House declined to offer further details about the reasoning behind the decision, its timing, or its legal basis. Immigrants have been suffering and always fear that they’re not welcomed in the US ever since President Trump has been elected. However, he does not provide any clarity to the public regarding his decision.
Trump mentioned that he was supporting Americans as millions have lost their jobs due to coronavirus. The nationwide lockdown has put a toll on companies and they’ve laid off employees as a result. The economy is suffering but who is to blame for it? The invisible enemy, immigrants or the decision-makers?
