Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Trailer: The Return of the Cheekbones
While the film’s predecessor Maleficent ended with a reconciliation between the villainess and Elle Fanning’s Princess Aurora, the arrival of Pfeiffer’s Queen Ingrith seems to have disturbed the peace.
“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex.
In the new trailer for Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Angelina Jolie’s titular dark fairy coos, “Life doesn’t always end well” but between her S&M-eagle-witch outfits, prosthetic cheekbones, and vendetta against Michelle Pfeiffer , even the darkest experiences can be…kind of fabulous.
While the film’s predecessor Maleficent ended with a reconciliation between the villainess and Elle Fanning’s Princess Aurora, the arrival of Pfeiffer’s Queen Ingrith seems to have disturbed the peace. Still, we probably have to assume Maleficent is in the right when she, you know, sends her flying army to attack the castle. Or has she fully fled to the dark side?
That would be a fun twist on a Disney sequel.
Plus, it’s not like you get to be the Mistress of Evil by not replying to Evil’s DMs.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil swoops into theaters on October 18.
