On Friday, a security breach was announced by Facebook. They said that an attack was noticed earlier this week, however they have not been identified yet.
News is that the attackers took advantage of the feature which allows users to view their own profile as how someone else would see it, which was introduced so users could know more about their privacy and what others could see about them.

The investigation about the breach is still going on and Facebook doesn’t know much about the attack. As a security measure, Facebook logged out all it’s users from their profiles, so if you were asked to log back in to your account even though your information was saved, that was the reason. Although the breach has been fixed, but Facebook is working on how they can prevent such incidents in the future.
Mark Zuckerburg, the founder of Facebook said:
“We’re taking it really seriously. We have a major security effort at the company that hardens all of our surfaces. I’m glad we found this. But it definitely is an issue that this happened in the first place.”
We hope a breach like this doesn’t happen again because our data could seriously be at risk!
