Highlights From The Best Place to Work Awards Gala 2021
The Best Place to Work Awards Gala 2021 aimed to honor businesses from different industries, in terms of their workplace environment.
The Place To Work Awards Gala 2021 took place on 14th October and celebrated the very best in the field of business.
It recognized and honor those organizations that have worked effortlessly in facilitating a great work environment for its employees.
The presenters of these events, PSHRM and Engage Consulting, are also the brainchildren of this entire event.
The accolades are given based on the studies conducted by these two institutions. The study itself has been ongoing since its inception in 2008.
The study carried out this year broke multiple records. A total of more than 290 companies nominated themselves. In addition, over 40,000 employees from over 160 companies were surveyed, thus breaking another milestone.
A total of 52 awards were given, with the most pristine award being the “Best of the Best Company 2021”. That honor was bestowed to DHL Pakistan, for a fifth consecutive time.
This year’s awards were regarded as the most inclusive and diverse in history. There were a total of 16 different industries being represented at this year’s function.
The event was hosted by Omair Rana, who was fantastic as a host. Mr. Irfan Siddiqui was the chief guest at the event. He is the President and CEO of Meezan Bank and President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI).
Other well known key speakers that attended the event were Mr. Zia Mohyeddin, the President and CEO of the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA). As well as Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga, Co- Founder and COO of Sehat Kahani. The entertainment was provided by the phenomenal Zoe Viccaji.
While talking on stage, CEO of Engage Consulting Paul Keijzer emphasized on the importance of meritocracy. He told that the studies were conducted in the most fairest and partial manner to ensure just results.
Jamal Nasir, President of PSHRM and Chief HR Officer at HBL, also spoke at the event. He discussed how, along with Engage Consulting, PSHRM aspired to guarantee greater employee engagement with the company. He also went on to talk about how they worked really hard to ensure greater management practices across various industries in the country.
EBM and Metro Pakistan served as the platinum sponsors of the event. Gul Ahmed, Engro Corp, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and The Talent Games were gold sponsors. Bank Alfalah Limited, Allied Bank Limited, Fatima Group, Oracle, Novo Nordisk and Systems Limited served as silver sponsors.
Prominent winners at the event were Nestle Pakistan, Unilever, State Bank of Pakistan, PTCL and many more.
