Every day, millions of Pakistanis begin their morning with the same questions: How much will
today’s commute cost? How much time will traffic add to the journey? As fuel prices continue to
rise and congestion becomes a part of daily life, commuting has evolved from a routine
necessity into one of the country’s biggest everyday challenges.
It was this challenge that inspired the creation of ELFA Electric.
ELFA was developed by EV Technologies, a Wavetec company, under the leadership of CEO
Huma Yahya Khattak, with a vision to build an electric motorcycle designed specifically for
Pakistan. Instead of adapting an imported model, ELFA was engineered from the ground up for
the country’s roads, climate, and everyday commuting needs.
Rather than replicating global products, the team focused on understanding the realities of
Pakistani commuters. They considered the country’s road conditions, traffic patterns, long
summer temperatures, and the average daily commuting distance before designing every
aspect of the motorcycles. The result is an electric vehicle built around the needs of local riders
instead of asking riders to adapt to the product.
ELFA currently offers two models, each catering to different commuting needs. The ELFA EV-
125 is designed for riders seeking longer range and higher performance, making it ideal for daily
office commuters, professionals, and frequent travellers. With a range of over 100 kilometres
a single charge, a top speed of 75 km/h, and three riding modes including Eco, City, and Sports,
it delivers both efficiency and versatility for everyday use.
For urban journeys, the ELFA EV-1 provides a practical and economical solution. Designed for
city commuting, students, and household users, it offers a range of up to 60 km/h on a single
charge while maintaining the same convenience of fast home charging in just two to three
hours. Together, both models demonstrate ELFA’s commitment to making electric mobility
practical, reliable, and accessible for different lifestyles.
What sets ELFA apart is not just its electric motorcycles, but the vision behind the company.
ELFA believes Pakistan’s transition to electric mobility should create local jobs, make
sustainable transportation accessible to everyone, and open more opportunities across the
workforce.
Affordability is at the heart of this mission. By reducing dependence on petrol and lowering
commuting costs, ELFA offers people a practical, cost-effective way to travel.
Whether it’s a professional commuting to work, a student travelling to class, a delivery rider, or a
small business owner, ELFA is designed to solve a real everyday challenge. Rather than simply
selling electric motorcycles, the company is delivering a dependable, affordable mobility solution
built for the people of Pakistan.
