Getting rejected after a job interview is the worst and it brings down your confidence level. We usually overreact when rejection strikes us and therefore don’t view it as a rational situation. To make the process easier for you, here are 3 ways to handle interview rejection well:
Be Selective
There are lots of jobs out there but that doesn’t mean you go around interviewing for everyone of them. You know what you’re good it, so stick to those openings. With so much competition out there, companies will only pick the best candidates and if you have little experience, you may not be selected. Don’t be disheartened by this, your time will come too.
Assess Your Weaknesses

No matter how confident you are, we all can sometimes mess up an interview. The pressure is high and you’re trying so hard not to be nervous. Get some help from friends of family members who have gone through many interviews. When rejected after an interview, always assess what you did wrong or what might be the reason for not getting the job.
Ask for Feedback

It may make you feel uncomfortable hearing the interviewer tell you how your performance was, but this is the part that will make you work on yourself. Requesting feedback is an important step for your career, so don’t shy away from it.
And that is how you can face interview rejection. Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us and I myself have been through that.
