The change from a paper reading to a fact stating government was very rapid in Pakistan. Last year Imran Khan took the charge to run Pakistan under his governance. Since then, people of Pakistan saw a hope for a better country unlike in the last few governments. Yesterday, Imran Khan represented Pakistan in United Nations General Assembly. His basic motive was to show the world that Pakistan isn’t a dead country and is still capable of much.
The Four Points
– Climate Change:
When Imran Khan started his speech, he said he would put forward four major points. The first point was on the current climate change & global warming. He told how he and the people of his country were ready to counter it in any possible way. He told about a initiative of planting 10 billion trees all over the country. Although, Imran Khan believed one country cannot bring in change and other countries will have to join in, in order to fight against global warming.
– Money Laundering:
The second point Imran Khan put forward was of the money stuck in foreign accounts. He pointed out how poor is getting poor and rich is getting richer because of tax evasions. He requested the President UN, to ask countries to work together and return the money. The money that belongs to the thieves in the country but is in foreign accounts. Imran Khan feels that money can be beneficial, if spent on the people of the country, the Pakistanis, basically.
– Islamophobia:
The third point Imran Khan put forward was over Islamophobia. He talked about how disappointing it was for the him that the Muslim Nations never stood up against Islamophobia. Imran Khan also cleared that there is only one Islam and there is nothing like ‘Radical Islam’. He told the world that 9/11 attacks had nothing to do with Pakistan. He told how it was with USA and Russia in Afghanistan, where Pakistan was there for USA’s aid. Russia left, USA left and Pakistan was left with Afghan Mujahideen in Afghanistan. He reminded the world how Muslims have been labelled as terrorists all around the world. He asked UN President to take notice on this and to end this radicalization. According to Imran Khan, marginalization leads youth to radicalize and to be barbaric for the sake of it.
He also told how important Holy Prophet PBUH was to the Muslims. Imran Khan tried his best to make the world realize a fact. If you disgrace our Prophet PBUH, none of us is going to tolerate it. Imran Khan’s speech was surely an eye opener, for all the Muslim leaders around the globe.
– Kashmir Dispute:
The fourth point that Imran Khan rose up was the evident issue of Kashmir. Everyone is quite aware of the ongoing in Kashmir. While addressing the General Assembly, Imran Khan highlighted the ongoing violence in Kashmir with facts and figures. He informed the President, that around thirteen thousand boys have been captured. He also informed how women have been raped in Kashmir by the Indian Armed Forces present there. The passion, the aggression was there in Imran Khan’s tone, yet he seemed calm when talking about it.
Imran Khan made one thing sure, that Pakistan doesn’t seek war. Neither against India or any other country. Imran Khan reminded the UN GA, that he has always put his hand forward towards friendship. But was, sadly, rejected every single time. Either when it was elections in India or a childish Pulwama attack, everything was to flame up Pakistan which the Indians couldn’t achieve. Reacting to the attacks in/on India, Imran Khan told the world that it was Pakistan who was blamed regardless. In any attacks on India, India points fingers on Pakistan which leads to hostilities on the border.
He connected how radicalism can urge up in Kashmir, because of what they have been facing. Unlike the previous politicians, Imran Khan was brave enough to inform UN about one thing. If India lifts curfew from Kashmir, the world will witness a bloodbath, for which again, Pakistan will be blamed only. Imran Khan, though, made clear of one thing. Pakistan doesn’t look forward to war, at all. But in case, India brings Pakistan to an extent of war and Pakistan has only two options left, either war or surrender. Pakistan, being seven times stronger than India, believes in ‘La Ilaha Illalah’ and will fight war, regardless.

Imran Khan’s speech amazed many people. Not only his supporters were glad, but even those who were against Imran Khan were happy on the speech he gave at UN. It was after a long time, that world saw someone so confident and brave representing Pakistan. Pakistan showed its actual worth in the world and how much willing it is to bring peace, regardless of everything. After a long time, we have moved from readers to leaders, finally. And well, it surely is a good thing to be very honest. We, people of Pakistan need good recognition in the world, and that is how we are going to get it.
