KFC & PepsiCo – A Relationship Refreshed

The renewal of the contract extends as an association between KFC and Pepsi which began since the year KFC arrived in Pakistan.

Raza Pirbhai, CEO of KFC Pakistan, the subsidiary of the international food chain, KFC that opened its first branch in Karachi, Pakistan in 1997 and Furqan Ahmed Syed, CEO of PepsiCo Pakistan & Afghanistan, the cold beverage company that entered Pakistan in 1959, renewed their partnership for the next 5 years as part of a high-spirited signing ceremony held at DHA Golf Club last Sunday.

The ceremony was also attended by Eugene Willemsen, CEO – PepsiCo Africa, Middle East & South Asia Sector along with Noor Alam, CMO, Ayesha Abdullah, CFO and Ammar Azhar, CTO.

Others from PepsiCo Pakistan who attended the ceremony were Saad M Khan, Director Franchise and Zahra Zaidi, National Key Accounts Manager.

The ceremony was also attended by high-profile corporate dignitaries including Yaseen Haji Kassam, CEO& MD – PBL, Siraj Kassam Teli, Director – PBL, Ahmed Kapadia, Founder – Synergy Group, Fahad Mehmood, CEO – GoLootlo and Nauman Sikandar, MD & CEO – Foodpanda Pakistan.

Ending a relationship that had been intact for more than 20 years, the renewal of the contract extends as an association which began since the year KFC arrived in Pakistan. With both brands being powerhouses in the country, this partnership will only help them gain strength together.
