Kookie: Satisfies More Than Just Your Sweet Tooth

In a quaint little street of Nishat lies Kookie-the first thing that comes to one’s mind after reading the restaurants name is ‘dessert’ and mind you, that’s the vibe it gave off for us too, but the savory here is just as good as the sweet!

Once you open the door, you hear a faint chiming of bells, which are attached to the door. As soon you step in you will be blown away by the attention to detail in this rather small and cozy restaurant.

The interior and upholstery are in shades of candy pink.there are tiny showpieces atop shelves and a huge window with frilly curtains adorned on both sides.

There is an extensive display of pastries and fresh home-made icecreams adjacent to the counter. Once seated we were brought the menus, two of which were present: One for the sweet and one for the savory.

We made our pick and ordered the Supremo Pizza, Alfredo pasta for mains, Kitkat Shake to gulp it all down and Tres Leches Cake for dessert.

Supremo Pizza

This was delicious, with plentiful toppings of both chicken chunks and beef pepperoni with roast beef,it was adorned with tri-tone sliced capsicum too, it was pretty filling indeed, more than enough for 2 people.

Cajun Alfredo Pasta

Pasta was served to us in a deep bowl, with garlic bread. The sauce the pasta was doused in itself was quite heavy and creamy with chunks of chicken in every bite, we wish there was mushroom in this pasta, it would amp up the flavor quotient a notch! But all in all, this was a heavy delectable pasta dish which is good enough for two people as well.

The garlic bread was cut too thick and too over-toasted for our liking, this should be worked upon.

KitKat Shake

Chunky, chocolatey with a dollop of whipped cream on top, this was a treat to our taste buds and gave us a sugar rush, but one we’d go back for to this cozy little joint!

Tres Leches Cake

This was a square slice of tres leches cake, the cake itself was moist and succulent and of course quite milky just the way its supposed to be, the snowflake topping on top did nothing but add extra sweetness which was not quite needed.

When we exited, we were met with a cute little sign hanging on the door, with a positive message which had us smiling too. Kookie’s tagline is “Lock the happiness” and it was nice to see this present in the literal sense with a grill which had an array of locks put up by each happy customer exiting Kookie. the server provides it to you upon request.

Its known to be a dessert bar, but you all should go and try the savory menu, you wouldn’t be disappointed!
