Pakistani fast bowler, Naseem Shah, breaks his silence over his PCB controversy. In a recent X post he issued an apology .He took responsibility of his controversial post after being fined Rs 20 million by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
This incident, quickly took social media by the storm, and turned into the biggest off field talking points revolving around PSL 11. It has taken a serious hit that required the disciplinary committee to intervene and requires a strong action from player and PCB both.
Naseem Shah Finally Took Responsibility.
Naseem Shah took to platform X to voice his apology. The 23 year old, fast pacer clarified that the original poster of the tweet was not him but instead his account is managed by his team and they made the now deleted post. However, he did not distance himself from the controversy but took responsibility.
Initially, he clarified that someone hacked his account, and the now-changed statement indicates that his team manages his account and someone from his team posted the tweet.
This layered statement around controversy is only bring confusion to the situation.

PCB Takes A Strict Action Against Naseem Shah.
PCB confirms that Naseem Shah has breached multiple clauses of his PSL contract as well as the board’s social media guidelines.
Following a show-cause notice issued on March 27 and a personal hearing conducted by a three-member disciplinary committee, the board decided to impose a hefty fine of PKR 20 million.
Even though Naseem Shah apologized, PCB maintained its stance and the fine remains.
“The PCB remains committed to upholding professional standards, contractual obligations and the integrity of the game,” the board said in its official statement.

What Happened To The Management Of Naseem Shah?
First and foremost, Naseem Shah has terminated the contract of the person who posted the controversial X post.
The PCB has gone a step further by ostracize the individual, preventing them from working with any player under its jurisdiction in the future.
This further ensures and sends the message across about the intolerance, held accountability and consequences of breached clauses.

It did not just stop at PCB reacting with a hefty fine, the cricket enthusiast civilians always have something to say and they had strong opinions.
In a X post, a user commented
“This is your third attempt to show your upbringing and hatred you followed from Imran Niazi. You don’t deserve to represent Pakistan anywhere because of your prejudice and arrogance against political rivals of Imran Niazi. Even after this incident, you have been found pictured with PTI figures”
