After the judgement had been passed and it was declared by the courts that Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Mariyam Nawaz and his son-in-law Capt Safdar are all sentenced to Jail.The jail authorities in Punjab have begun making arrangements accordingly.The jail they will be sentenced to are still tentative.
The two jail authorities,however which are finalizing the arrangements regarding their arrival are Adiala Jail and Kot Lakhpat,both of which are present in Punjab.
Given that they are declared to be sent in a ‘Sub-Class’ jail,they will be ‘B-class’ prisoners.The B-class prisoners face a different lifestyle from the regular prisoners,with certain privileges given to them.
The privileges include, getting to wear regular clothes instead of the prison uniform,getting access to television,newspapers and air conditioned cells as well as having the option to cook food themselves or arrange it from an external source.
“As soon as she gains consciousness, and I talk to her, I will go back”, Nawaz announced as he spoke when he went live with the press in the UK.
