Pakistani Designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha collaborates with Ranveer Singh for Filmfare
People are saying that they love the clothes or perhaps they love the way Ranveer wore them, says Mohsin.
Renowned Pakistani designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha known for his traditional and rich designs has collaborated with Indian magazine Filmfare and dressed the newly-married Ranveer Singh for the cover.
Ranveer, popular for his flamboyant and eccentric dressing, looked absolutely regal and fierce on the cover image in a black ensemble with bronze motives, sporting his signature mustache with panache.
“I was in contact with Ranveer’s team for the past two years before the actual shoot happened in London. They looked at our work very closely before any final commitments were made but I’m glad that he loved it and officially took us onboard,” Ranjha shared. “I personally kept Ranveer’s quirky dressing sense in mind while designing for him. His royal looks in most of his film were an inspiration.”
Talking about photo-shoot experience, Ranjha added, “It was exceptional! Ranveer is not just an amazing person but also very co-operative. We would often forget he is a Bollywood sensation and has random chit chats with him. He’s a fantastic guy and we loved working for him. Off camera, he is a normal, chilled out guy but in front of it, he would transform into a mega movie star.”
The clothes match Ranveer’s persona perfectly and it appears that Ranveer too agrees with this.
Speaking about wearing the Pakistani designer’s outfits, Ranveer said he loved the fact that they were designed keeping in mind his personality and how well they matched the beard and mustache he was sporting in the shoot. Ranveer further said that Mohsin “nicely blended with clothes with the locations.”

“Mohsin’s designs were very rich and regal, and the shoes, in particular, were my favorite. I loved the embroidery done on both the clothes and shoes,” Ranveer said, adding that he plans to wear more of Mohsin’s designs in the future.
Mohsin shared that the shoot was done all over London – Oxford Street, Hyde Park, King’s Garden – in the span of a day, and he designed three ensembles for Ranveer to wear.
Meanwhile, Filmfare on why they chose Ranveer for the cover of this year’s last issue, said on their website, “He’s the game changer, a trailblazer, a style icon and one of the most celebrated actors of the industry right now. With so many feathers added to his hat on the professional front and a celebratory year personally, Ranveer Singh is the biggest newsmaker of the year 2018.”
The designer further shared, “Ranveer has very positive thoughts about Pakistan and often talked about how much he admires our artists. He has huge regard for fashion designers across the border and not exaggerating but he’s quite excited to experiment with our designs in near future.”
The Bajirao Mastani actor will be gracing the cover of Filmfare magazine in Ranjha’s creation next month. Of course, this isn’t the first time Bollywood artists have collaborated with Pakistani designers. Starlets such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kangana Ranaut, and many others have often been spotted in outfits by Pakistani designers.
