The relationship between India and Pakistan have always been tensed and occurrences like the attack in India occupied Kashmir have made things even worse. Citizens on both sides of the border are acting out, especially the Indians who are out there blaming the Pakistani’s for the attack. No actual war may have started just yet, but the cyberwar is going strong through social media accounts.
However, there are a lot of Pakistanis have started an “Anti-Hate Challenge” to show their love and support to Indians all over social media.

It’s great to see Pakistanis spreading love rather then responding back with hatred. Love can win the ugliest of wars and we think the #AntiHateChallenge is a great initiative. We want Indians to know that we don’t just condemn the attack but also have solidarity with our Indian friends.

Bloodshed is never something we support, whether it’s the blood of Indians or Pakistanis. The #AntiHateChallenge started with Pakistan and now has crossed the border and Indians have started supporting it as well. This initiative was started by journalist Sehyr Mirza who wrote “I won’t trade humanity for patriotism”. She further added:
‘We’re deeply disturbed over the tragic terror attack that claimed innocent lives in Kashmir. We have initiated this #AntiHateChallenge to not only condemn the attack but also express solidarity with our Indian friends. Requesting Pakistani fellows, who share our feelings, please, join in.”

The #AntiHateChallenge is even trending in India, so let’s hope for the best! This is exactly the kind of positivity we need right now.

Team #RunwayPakistan has also taken a part in this initiative and we hope to bring a change just like everyone else.
