PTI MPA Shaheen Raza Passed Away

PTI MPA Shaheen Raza passed away on May 20. She was the first Pakistani lawmaker who died after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

PTI MPA Shaheen Raza passed away on May 20. She was diagnosed with COVID-19 two days before, and had been shifted to the isolation ward of the Mayo Hospital in Lahore. She was the first Pakistani lawmaker who died after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Her cause of death isn’t clear – Mayo Hospital’s CEO Dr Asad Aslam stated that PTI MPA Shaheen Raza was also a patient of diabetes and blood pressure.

Shaheen Raza had been quarantined in DHQ Hospital after she showed symptoms of COVID-19 on May 16. That is when her sample had been sent to be tested. Once it came positive, she was shifted to Mayo Hospital and put on the ventilator on the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
