Since September 2024, the Driving License Department, Sindh has achieved the milestone of issuing over 208,857 learner driving licenses via online portal. The technological advancement is leading the province with the development of road safety by ensuring seamless license process.
The digital initiative is launched under the Sindh government’s vision in collaboration with directives of Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon. The initiative of obtaining licenses from the comfort of their homes has helped people to follow rules and regulations.
To date, a total of 208,857 learner licenses have been issued through the online system. Moreover, through online portal 14,067 online permanent license renewals and 7,600 international driving permits have been issued.
As a stronger shift toward technological advancement and digital smarts in Pakistan, the Driving License Department, Sindh, is making a mark. If you have not been able to obtain a driver’s license/renew a driver’s license, avail of online services to protect yourself and others!
Here are the steps to apply for online learner, renewal & IDP driving license:
How Can I Apply?
- Create an account on the DLS Online website here.
- Fill out the application form.
- Upload documents.
- Generate payment bill numbers from DLS Online and pay through any internet banking or mobile app with a 1 Bill facility, including EasyPaisa and JazzCash.

- Clear face picture with white background
- Scanned copy/picture of Original CNIC(Front & Back)

- Clear face picture with white background
- Scanned copy/picture of Original CNIC (Front & Back)
- Scanned copy of the previous permanent license
