Squid Game Will Be Coming Back For A Second Season
After becoming the most watched show on Netflix, the makers of Squid Game have announced that the thriller will be back for a second season.
Squid Game had taken the world by storm when it first released on Netflix. Known for its engaging storyline, impressive acting performances and gory scenes, the show became a global hit.
It went on to become the most watched show on Netflix and has catapulted its cast into becoming worldwide stars.
Now, the creator of the show, Hwang Dong-hyuk, has come out with a major announcement. He said that due to the massive success of the show, there will be a second season in the making.
Dong-hyuk went on to say; “It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen. So I will promise you this, Gi-hun will be back and he’ll do something for the world.”
During the red carpet event in Los Angeles, the stars of the show talked about their growing worldwide fame. Lee Jung-jae, Jung Ho-yeon and Park Hae-soo all talked about how they have gotten the same love and admiration from fans in America as they did in their native South Korea.
Squid Game has brought about a rise in viewership of South Korean content. This is exemplified by the multiple Korean dramas coming in the top ten most watched shows on Netflix in Pakistan.
