In Karachi, Quetta, and Rawalpindi, household burners no longer have natural gas and it is said that it will continue like this for a while.

Karachi police deployed tear gas and baton charges on citizens who flocked to the streets to protest K-Electric’s unannounced and protracted load shedding.

While KE has been trying to push the blame on the federal government for not providing the oil for them to operate, the latter has accused the former for not investing in a proper distribution system.

NEPRA Chairperson Tauseef Farooqi stated that an investigation will probe into the matter and the reasons will be brought forward to the public.
