The teaser for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s yet another masterpiece “Gangubai Kathiawadia” is finally here, and we can not get over Alia Bhatt’s promising and jaw-dropping appearance in the teaser. The teaser was released on the director’s 58th birthday and has stirred an anticipatory response from the audience, who can not wait to set their eyes on Bhansali’s new masterpiece. It is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, “The Matriarch of Kamathipura”.
The movie stars Ali Bhatt as the queen of Mumbai’s Kamathipura red-light district during the 1960s. A women named Gangubai, a brothel owner and matriarch from Kathiawad, who was left with no choice but to take control of what was given to her and swing her destiny. The teaser shows a fearless and fierce Alia Bhatt who is seen to be giving one of her best performances of all times. After her outstanding performances in Highway, Udta Punjab, Raazi and Gully Boy, there is no one better to play the role of Gangubai than her. Her demeanour in the teaser leaves the audience wanting more.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings his audience a moving yet a powerful story which they can resonate with, packed with dramatic background music, visuals, stylised frames and dialouges that hit home! The teasor is already trending on Youtube, on the 13th position and has fans hitting the replay button, according to the Times of India. Also, Twitter is flooded with reactions from the audience, who claim that this could be one of the best performance of Alia Bhatt, where some have already declared it as a “block buster”. The response has been massively positive as people are desperately waiting for Bhansali’s biggest “hits ” of all times, marking this his 10th directorial cinema maestro.
