Aslam is representing Pakistan in the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change that is currently taking place in Poland.
He further emphasized that the former Californian governor wanted to highlight the country’s extreme climate vulnerability which can be observed through our immensely changed weathers.
The Terminator actor attended the conference with the current President of Austria; Alexander van Der Bellen.
In attendance were also almost 200 other nations who had signed up to the Paris climate deal in 2015 and they are now required to finalize a rulebook by this month to limit the exponential increase in global temperature.
With destructive wildfires, mega-floods and extreme droughts occurring at a common in our planet, strict actions need to be taken immediately before the rate increase of climate change becomes an uncontrollable phenomenon.
