Pakistan has been put in Pool A in the six-country Asia Cup alongside old opponents India, the Asia Cup returns to its customary 50-over ODI design in the wake of selecting in 2016 for a T20I format which was won by India.

After the discussions with Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, selector Inzamam-ul-Haq on Thursday declared the 18-man squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup.Imad Wasim and opening batsman Shan Masood were called to become the part of the 18-man squad, which will have its last period of training at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from September 3-10.
