Top 10 Household Items in Pakistan Essential for Everyone To Get

From basic household items such as shoe racks, dustbins, floor mats to barbecue grills, I had to buy all the available household items in Pakistan.

After years of savings, I was finally able to afford my own house and thereby wanted to equip it with all the available household items in Pakistan that I could find to make my experience of living here as smooth as possible. When it comes to redecorating or setting up your dream house, everyone wants household items that go hand in hand and meet the desired vision that a person has of arranging their safe haven. Moreover, nowadays consumers are also demanding the products they buy for their household use as they want a combination of household items that are aesthetic enough to complement their home as well as are durable, perform well, and are of good quality. Home is where the heart is but it is also a place that should be able to cater to all your needs and should consist of important household staples that any successful household requires. From basic household items such as shoe racks, dustbins, floor mats, cloth stands to barbecue grills, I had to buy all the available household items in Pakistan.

Now the problem that arose was that it got a bit difficult to get everything under one store in Pakistan, as sometimes I liked certain things from a store but then not all of them so either I got to take turns and buy items slowly and gradually from my desired local stores or I could get everything together from one place that gave me both, quality and reliability. Thereby, after many disappointing experiences with other local brands, I finally decided to try my luck at the  JB Saeed Studio and I was surprised to see their variety of household items in Pakistan.

Wuzu Foot Washer

A very unique product that I came across while scrolling their website, the Wuzu Foot Washer. I have personally ordered this and can vouch for this product, it is very easy to use and allows wuzu to be performed while standing and sitting comfortably. I have elders at home and there is always a risk of slipping while performing wuzu, thereby this product is a lifesaver and one can safely perform wuzu, without the added benefit of spilling and splashing water around the bathroom. It does not require any power, comes with a pipe that needs to be connected to the water pump and that’s all. It is suitable for all ages and saves water by only using 250ml of water which also seemed like an advantage for me as I am very particular about water wastage. It’s been a few months since my purchase and the quality itself is very good. The product is made in Italy thereby I know that it will be durable and is a good investment for my household.

Cloth Dryer

When searching for Cloth Dryers everyone told me to be mindful about the quality of the product as the problem with cloth drying racks is that the ones that are locally available are made of metal and get rusted very quickly, collapsing within time. Luckily, I was able to find a rack made of aluminum at the JB Saeed Studio, which is rust-proof and comes in tubular wires that minimize the creasing of dry clothes. It also comes with scratch protection and an accidental closure system which guarantees durability. The product is made in Italy and is definitely a value for money.

Shoe Rack

Every household requires a shoe rack to organize and store shoes. Finding the right household items in Pakistan is definitely a challenge, and for my house, I wanted something different, something that performed as a shoe rack and was spacious enough for me to store all my shoes. I did not come across shoe racks that I preferred in any of the local stores in my city as most of them were either made of plastic or laminated board which is not durable and cannot withstand the changes in weather. Thereby, I started searching for it internationally and really liked the one available at Wenko, a very renowned international brand for homeware products. Luckily JB Saeed Studio  has imported products and I was able to get it from there, literally one of the only places in Karachi which had the best shoe rack available. It’s known as the Telescopic shoe rack atlas and is said to be able to hold up to 42 pairs of shoes which will be ideal in my case, as I would want to organize all my shoes in one place. The best part is that it is very easy to assemble and there are no tools or drilling required.

Barbecue Accessories

It does not feel like the weekend until we have a barbecue with the whole family and what better way to cook up a feast for family and friends than with a powerful barbecue grill set. For this item, I was specifically very particular because I have had a very bad experience in the past where there was a lot of grease and debris built upon the components of my grill that ate away at the steel components causing big holes and hot spots where the flame from the burner burned up the front of the grill. I got the barbecue burner from a local store and after my horrific experience, I did not dare to go back again. This time, I did my own research to find the best household items in Pakistan and came across the 4 series classic burner for barbecues  at the JB Saeed Studio. Its stainless steel tube burners, together with a large, enameled cooking surface are perfect for avoiding any further disasters. It also combines four powerful burners which will make cooking faster and easier.

Organizers

Another item that I found very aesthetic and useful on the JB Saeed Studio’s website was this magnetic coat rack and key holder from Wenko. The rack comes with 5 hooks which are great for hanging coats and bags when you come home tired from work and want to avoid creating a mess in the living room. Also, the memo board with 2 magnets serves as a great way to leave memorable notes for your loved ones. I am definitely adding this to my shopping cart!

Dustbins

I know what you are thinking, why would I include a dustbin in this list, something so basic and minute, which everyone can get without any recommendations. But here is the tricky part, most of us get dustbins made out of plastic without thinking about the repercussions, willing to change them every once in a while but not ready to invest in them. The problem is that plastic degrades after some time and is defenseless to scratches, marks, and splits. Moreover, a plastic dustbin loaded with substantial waste can clasp underweight. These are reactive and may gather a foul smell and are also non-renewable, needing to be replaced every once in a while. Knowing all of these facts, I opted to invest in the rust-proof stainless steel pedal bin available at the JB Saeed Studio. It is of high quality as it is equipped with the Wenko easy-close automatic lowering function as the lid of the dustbin closes very gently and quietly without the loud banging that we have become so accustomed to. Finally, the waste bin has an anti-fingerprint coating which makes fingerprints on the matt surface almost invisible. It’s probably the only store that I have come across that provides us with these high-quality dustbins.

Floor Mats

These cute little welcome mats are just what I want to see when I enter my home. They’re very subtle and definitely recommended for those homely vibes, available at the JB Saeed Studio. Moreover, another added benefit for all those people who are trying to stay in and avoid going out due to the current pandemic situation is that one can easily order their household items online from their website as their delivery is prompt and hassle-free.

Decoration Pieces

Adding small touches here and there can add a lot of beauty to a home and this can be done by using decorative pieces in little corners of the house, to make it seem personalized. The design of a person’s home is an expression of themselves, it builds a story through the colors and is reflective of their personalities. Thereby, whenever choosing unique pieces for a home the decision should be made wisely. I got this decorative piece from the Habitt store and I could not be happier with my purchase.

Timeless Accent Pieces

No home is complete without vintage pieces as they add sophistication and style. I purchased this old classic revolving telephone styled decoration table clock in rustic brown color from the Habitt store. It adds a touch of charm and elegance to my living area and compliments the aesthetic that I want for my house.

Vibrant Cushions & Covers

khaadi home bedlinen

Khaadi Home is another great suggestion if you want to add a pop of vibrant ethnicity to your interiors and has some great household items in Pakistan. Khaadi uses indigenous techniques such as block printing, embroidery, and handloom weaving in products such as bedcovers, cushions, and chairs. They also have a limited range of furniture including ottomans and footstools. These bright, bold, and quirky additions are just what I needed to give my living room a comfortable vibe.

Ornamental Pieces

Finally, Ensemble Home is also a great suggestion for someone who is looking for intricate crockery for their homes. The tiny home section of the multi-brand store is worth a mention for the quality of the brands it stocks. You can get accessories by La Maison, cushions and crockery by Indian brand Good Earth as well as silverware by Carbon. Recently I visited them and found beautiful silver and wood bookends by Carbon and gold leaf doves by Maria Chinoy. The store is a very unique tressure in our city.

Hopefully these recommendations were useful and helps people who are looking to redecorate or build their new homes. These are the best available household items in Pakistan that I came across in terms of quality and design.
