You could see every other person either posing outside the Topkapi palace or enjoying a ride in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia. Istanbul
First comes first, Istanbul stands in the first position in the top tourist cities in Turkey, and it’s totally worth it. Istanbul is a beautiful city, connecting Asia and Europe with a bridge. Famous for its old part of the city, where we can find the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, if you’re a Sufi fan so you can even enjoy a peaceful performance of the whirling dervishes at the Hodjapasha theatre and a visit to the Grand Bazaar is a must.
In the new part of the city, you may find the amazingly beautiful Dolmabahce palace, which I think is a must-visit just like the attractions in the old part of the city. You can even get to the top of Galata Tower for a breathtaking view of the city. After this, you can take a ferry ride to the gorgeous Princess islands, which is a cluster of 9 tiny islands. Famous for its beautiful and aesthetic views.
Cappadocia
The first thing that comes to your mind when you think about this city is Hot air balloon ride! And yes this is what this mesmerizing city is known for. Waking up as early as 4 am in the morning for the balloon ride so you can get the beautiful sunrise view during it, that is all worth it. Then there are two tours available. One is the green line tour that is over the ground and includes visiting the chimney cones and Goreme. The red line tour includes visiting the under-ground caves. Both the tours include a live pottery making session at the famous pottery shop in the city. Also, do stay at the beautiful, famous cave hotels and their traditional breakfasts are not to be missed for sure.
Antalya
Famous for its beautiful beaches, this city has some amazing all-inclusive resorts that one can enjoy. Among all the other beaches, I would suggest you visit Lara Beach. Along with that, there are some tours too in the city that make us visit the breathtaking Duden and Kursunlu waterfalls.
Just like the other top tourist cities of Turkey, Antalya also has an interesting old city center known as Kaleci, where you can find the old Hadrian Castle Gate, Hidirlik Tower, and Karaalioglu park.
Pamukkale
Pamukkale is a town in Turkey known for the mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down the white travertine terraces. Usually, people take short day-trips to Pamukkale from Antalya as there’s nothing much to do in Pamukkale other than the thermal water. So booking a hotel room in the city is literally of no use. Just visit it for the day, spend some time in the waters, take some aesthetic pictures, and go back to Antalya.
Fethiye
Fethiye is a port city, famous for its natural harbor, blue waters, and rock tombs. This is that kind of a city where you can find beaches along with pretty historic spots too. Oludeniz Beach is a beauty with its white pebbles and blue waters. While on the other side the Tomb of Amyntas, Tlos Ruins, Fethiye museum and, Fethiye Old Town are some of the spots in the city that have an interesting story behind them and are a must-visit when visiting the city.
Bodrum
Bodrum is an elegant port city whose whitewashed streets give us proper Greek feels. It is best known for its imposing castle built by the Knights Hospitaller. A short distance from Bodrum is the ancient city of Halicarnassus. Its mausoleum was one of the Seven Wonders of the World and it was the birth famous of the legendary travel writer Herodotus.
