Turkish Firms Setting Up Industrial Units in Pakistan
To improve bilateral trade relations, and the economic growth of Pakistan; several Turkish firms are interested in setting up industrial units in Pakistan.
On Monday, 16th November, the Turkish delegation expressed that they would be interested in setting up industrial units in Pakistan to begin production processes to meet the needs of the construction industry, according to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
ICCI President, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, briefed the Turkish delegation about the investment prospects and opportunities of the potential business in the construction industry.
He further said that the current government has introduced several attractive construction packages to instigate construction activities within the country and that this is the perfect time for foreign investors to invest in the industry.

Moreover, he believes that the Turkish firms should set up industrial units in Pakistan and bring their knowledge and expertise to the industry to fully utilize the growing investment opportunities in the construction sectors to maximize economic growth and raise exports of the country.
Furthermore, he assured that ICCI shall fully assist the Turkish firms, and Turkey’s ADO Group President, Mustafa SAK, has also said that he sees great potential in Pakistan’s construction sectors and that the Turkish firms would like to set up industrial units in Pakistan to produce construction material and products to meet the needs of the local industry.
This collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey will be beneficial for both states. While Pakistan and Turkey have already made several agreements to increase and encourage bilateral trade, they hope that the setting up of industrial units in Pakistan by Turkish firms will be another step in the direction of making stronger trade relations.
