The United States of America (USA) has donated 100 ventilators to Pakistan to help us tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. These new ventilators were sent to Pakistan through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), who are collaborating with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The ventilators are calculated to be worth $3 million and are considered state-of-the-art with their latest medical designs and technology. They are easily used as they are small in size, and ensure that the medical staff finds it much easier to treat their patients.
According to the statement made by the USA’s Embassy, President Donald Trump offered supplies, including ventilators, to Pakistan to aid its critical response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, US Ambassador Paul Jones stated, “The US stands with Pakistan in its fight against coronavirus. These American-made ventilators will help Pakistani patients in the most acute need of medical care.”
