Uzair Baloch Acquitted in Murder Case Once Again
A sessions court has acquitted the chief of the defunct Peoples Amn Committee, Uzair Baloch, and another person in a kidnapping-cum-murder case.
On Tuesday, January 13, a sessions court has acquitted the chief of the defunct Peoples Amn Committee, Uzair Baloch, and another person in a kidnapping-cum-murder case.
The alleged Lyari kingpin, Uzair Baloch along with Taj Mohammad, known as Tajoo; Mohammad Yousuf Baloch; Zafar Baloch; Shahid Rehman; Noor Mohammad, known as Baba Ladla; Mohammad Shahid and Habib Jan Baloch were charged with the kidnapping and murder of Noshad in 2012.
On Tuesday, the case came up before the sessions judge and additional district (South) Faraz Ahmed Chandio when acquittal applications against the prosecution were moved by two accused, was taken up. After this, the judge acquitted two of the accused, including Uzair Baloch of the charges due to lack of evidence from the prosecution.
The judge also directed the prison officials to release Uzair Baloch and the other man immediately, if their custody is not required in any other pending case.
A case was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Kalri police station.
Previously, Uzair Baloch was brought before the court from prison amid tight security whilst co-accused Shahid appeared on bail where the judge cancelled his bail and discharged the surety.
Recently, on January 7, the same court had also acquitted Uzair Baloch and other accused persons in two identical cases pertaining to attempted murder and encounter with police due to lack of evidence.
