Global Warming has been causing a lot of trouble to people around the world. All because of their doings. And this Global Warming has resulted in extinction of many different species, from all around the world. Moreover, its consequences could have been evidently seen in the Australian Bush Fire. And now, it is showing its impact in the rising temperatures in Antarctica.
Since childhood, we have always thought Antarctica to be a place covered with snow. with Igloos all around and snow leopards moving around. It actually was the same as we thought it to be. The temperature in the continent hadn’t crossed 19.8 since 1982. Although, due to Global Warming, there was an increase in 0.5 C every decade in Antarctica. And now, the temperature in 2020 has crossed 20 C in the region, making it the highest temperature up till now.
Sadly, by time, if we don’t gradually move towards decreasing the warming of surface, we might see Antarctica depleting on whole. And that means, more loss of specific animals and species from earth. Moreover, that would also increase the melting of glaciers hence increasing water levels. Which might lead to other unbearable incidents in the region.
It is a must, that all the countries unite over this one cause, all together. And if they don’t, it might not only be a problem for Antarctica, but will be for whole of the earth. And this is more fearful than saddening.
