With ‘Sorry’, Faysal Qureshi returns to film industry after 18 years

Karachi: After the huge gap of 18 years, Faysal Qureshi finally returns to the film industry. Under the banner of his own production house and SJ Films, he will be seen as a lead Character in a film named SORRY directed by Sohail Javed. It’s also a directorial debut for Sohail on the big screen. The name was revealed on through a video in the press conference, curtain raiser and cast reveal ceremony that took place yesterday at Ambrosia.

 

“It will be a love story where you will laugh a little and cry a little”, says director. When asked about the cast another video was played which revealed the very talented cast which includes Amina Sheikh, Zahid Ahmed, Sonya Hussain and obviously Faysal Qureshi.
Sorry will have 7 songs in total. 2 of those songs will be by Abbas Ali Khan. Jahanzeb’s soulful voice will also be heard in this film with Strings will also be doing its magic to make people dance in cinemas. The songs will not affect the story adversely as mentioned by Sohail. The mastermind behind the drama serial Khaani, Asma Nabeel was mentioned especially and was called on stage by the director of this movie as she helped him completing the story when he was totally stuck at one point.

On being asked why did you say yes to this film, Faysal Qureshi firmly stated “Mere dil ko lagi hai ye Film aur jo mere dil ko lag jaye hum usey chorte nahi hain”. The last part he said while looking towards his wife and that was a very cute moment which the attendees witnessed. The event witnessed top stars from our industry who came out to support Faysal Qureshi. Samina Peerzada, Legendary Nadeem Baig, Wajahat Rauf, Adnan Siddiqui, Fahad Mustafa, Mohib Mirza, Aijaz Aslam, Jeerjees Seja, Bilal Maqsood Khan, Humayun Saeed, The dynamic duo of Aadi and Faizan, Mansha Pasha were among the guests who attended the event. Very talented Khalid Maik was the host of the night.

Aadi who also calls Faysal Qureshi his inspiration and works with him in his morning show took the mic and everyone was waiting what he is going to ask and suddenly he says something that burst the laughter out of everyone.”Its very good that you are doing a film and its a lovely press conference but I really want to ask is that are we going to get dinner or only refreshments after this
