9 New Coronavirus Cases Reported in Karachi
Out of the 9 patients, 6 came from Syria via Doha, whereas the rest travelled from London via Dubai.
The State Minister for Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza, tweeted last night to confirm that 9 new coronavirus cases had been reported in Karachi. Out of the 9 patients, 6 came from Syria via Doha, whereas the rest travelled from London via Dubai. He claimed that all these cases were contacts of the previously recognised parents.

Sindh Government shared details of one of the new patients of coronavrius, saying: “The 53-year-old patient is a resident of Karachi East and was tested positive today (Monday). The patient has a travel history from Syria via Doha. All his contacts have been quarantined.” Moreover, they claimed that they are working on tracking the contacts of all the patients to test them.
Under the leadership of Murad Ali Shah, the Sindh Health Department has issued advisory to all of the public and private hospitals to report any cases of pneumonia. This is to conduct further medical investigation.
One of the challenges that the government faces in Pakistan is people panicking. Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho appealed to the residents of Sindh to focus on the precautionary measures instead of panicking about the coronavirus cases in Karachi.
“Sindh health department is working constantly to make sure that the spread of virus is contained to its best. Our teams are working day and night to track, monitor, quarantine and test people to make sure the virus doesn’t spread. I would also request the people to take precautionary measures advised by the health department and experts.”
