An American-Pakistani couple just opened a Dhabba in NYC and it’s stealing everyone’s hearts

This aesthetic AF chai lounge aims to bridge the differences between the East and the West by bringing them together in a gorgeous environment and helping improve Pakistan’s visit alongside.

They’ve further created an amazing opportunity for women to use their skills and work on becoming increasingly independent economically by selling customer products, usually handmade or sewn stuff by women from villages in Sindh and Balochistan.

 

Another MAJOR positive aspect of this café is the adorable love story behind it. Founders Khalida Brohi, a Balochi, and David Baron, an Italian-American, fell in love in 2014 and after overcoming numerous hurdles they finally managed to tie the knot and opened up this café as a symbol of the fusion of their two cultures.
