Aurat March 2020: Celebrities Attend and Support Women

Many people celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th by attending Aurat March 2020. These include many celebrities, who not only attended the march, but also showed their support on social media.

Mahira Khan

The Bol star had previously tweeted that she wanted to march for the women who couldn’t, and march she did! She tweeted a picture with a group of people holding posters that highlighted the Aurat March manifesto.

The Multan Sultan Owner tweeted about spending his birthday fighting for women’s rights, and posted many pictures that showed off the posters others were carrying in the Lahore Aurat March.

The esteemed filmmaker also attended the Karachi Aurat March 2020.

Aurat March 2020 was considered a success across all over Pakistan and showed that the nation is ready to fight patriarchy head on. Celebrities are using their power to raise their voices for women rights and I am delighted that we are moving towards a better Pakistan!
