Coke Studio returning for season 12

Coke Studio is set to return in October with its 12th season, only this time with the return of Rohail Hyatt. The news of the mastermind’s return has created anticipation among the show’s audience and fans.

So what should you be expecting in this upcoming season?

Rohail Hyatt has been known to produce some of the best seasons for the show. Hopefully after a few years of having to sit through mediocre seasons, we’ll probably get to see Coke Studio performing in all its glory once again.

Atif Aslam is said to be playing an integral part this time around. Hyatt confirmed this news as well as Atif Aslam himself;

“Yes, I am an integral part of the show, and there are a number of compositions that I have worked on. There will be collaboration and the genres will vary from Zikr to Khayal Gayeki to a more hip melody.”

Furthermore on the lineup for this season, Ali Sethi, Abrar-ul-Haq, Sahir Ali Bagga, Aima Baig and Zeb Bangash are rumored to be blessing Coke Studio with their sensational voices. And the artist lineup will also include some new faces.

Here’s to hoping season 12 lives up-to the hype that it’s building, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed on not being disappointed another time around.
