Cristiano Ronaldo Betrayed By Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo, after resigning, joined Manchester United in 2021. He is now being betrayed by Manchester United and forced out of the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United claims that Erik ten Hag, the team’s manager, has deceived him and that he is being pushed out of the club.
In August 2021, Ronaldo signed a two-year contract to return to United from Juventus for a second stint at Old Trafford. He was going back to the team where he won eight major championships from 2003 to 2009.
Ronaldo was questioned about if United’s administration was attempting to get rid of him in an appearance with Piers Morgan for TalkTV that was made available on Sunday.
“Yes, not only the coach (Ten Hag) but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed,” he admitted.
“Yes I feel betrayed, and I felt some people don’t want me here, not just this year, but last year too.”
When Ronaldo strolled through the tunnel with just a few minutes left in the game after being left on the sideline against Tottenham Hotspur last month, according to Ten Hag, the front declined to be brought on as a replacement.
The team that played Chelsea the next Saturday did not have him on it at that point.
“I don’t have regard for him because he doesn’t show respect for me,” the 37-year-old attacker, who will lead Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, said of Ten Hag. I won’t ever have regard for you if you don’t have regard for me.
Upon being approached by Reuters for a remark, United did not answer right away.
Ronaldo is still “an important player in the squad,” according to Ten Hag’s comments during the Tottenham match.
When his child was admitted to the hospital in July, Ronaldo claimed Manchester United did not stand by him. When he was late for preseason practice, he said the team disbelieved him and lacked compassion.
He said, “I think the fans should know the truth.”
He said he wants the club to succeed. He joined Manchester United for this reason.
“But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal … a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately,” he continued.
Ronaldo’s first stint was under Alex Ferguson, a former United manager who retired in 2013. The Portuguese claimed that Ferguson shared his opinion of the team.
When Sir Alex Ferguson went, there has been no improvement at all, in my opinion. Ronaldo stated that nothing had altered.
“He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be.”
“He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don’t see that it’s because they don’t want to see, they are blind.”
Ronaldo also disagreed with the club’s choice to choose Ralf Rangnick as a manager in place of his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year.
“After the club sacked Ole, they bring sporting director Ralf Rangnick, which is something nobody understands,” Ronaldo stated.
“This guy, he is not even a coach. A big club like Manchester United brings a sporting director, surprised not only me but all the world.”
