Deepika, Priyanka to be Questioned Over Fake Social Media Followers
It seems that much of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra's fame on social media may be propagated by having fake social media followers.
Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are both two of the most famous Bollywood actresses in today’s age, however it seems that much of their fame on social media may be propagated by having fake social media followers.
It’s been quite a while since the Mumbai Police started to investigate a case regarding the paid and fake social media followers. It was after they reviewed both Deepika and Priyanka’s social media that the Mumbai Police recommended an enquiry to look into any possible fake or paid social media followers.
According to Mumbai’s Joint Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Chaubey, there are 54 firms that have played a role in fake accounts scandal. Their Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU) has arrested a man called Abhishek Dinesh Daude for making fake social media accounts.
However, it is not just Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone that may be involved in the fake followers scandal – around 174 high profile personalities are shortlisted to be interrogated by the police, and many more are being still monitored for any such activity! Such personalities include celebrities from the political, sports and entertainment.
