France Records Temperature of 45 Degrees as Heat Wave Strikes Europe

Heat wave is sizzling Europe!

The summer heat wave struck Europe which has resulted in many deaths as the highest recorded temperature ever in Europe has been 44 degrees in August of 2003. This year in the same small village, temperature of 45.1 degrees was recorded making it the highest ever recorded temperature in Europe.

The heat wave has not only struck France but also Italy, Spain and Germany. The situation has led many authorities to publicly plead with the people to take some precautions and stay safe.

Around 4,000 schools remained closed on Friday due to extreme temperature, opening hours of public pools and parks were also extended. The previous heat wave in 2003 left many dead. The authorities have been taking precautions such as creating cooling rooms in public buildings and installing mist showers in the streets.

Experts are claiming that the situation will get even worse in the coming years as the temperature rise will gradually increase or even become double by the year 2050.
