International Players to Leave Pakistan Amid Corona
Pakistan Super League was on a hype, but due to coronavirus, players unwillingly have to leave Pakistan.
PSL started in Pakistan since 20th February 2020. It was the first time that whole of the league was taking place in the country only. Amongst six different teams, there were different players who had come from different countries to be part of the teams. With matches being held in different cities of the country, there were many people who were coming to spectate the match. But due to the coronavirus outbreak all around the world, there was a bit of fear amongst the people there. Not only amongst those who were going to watch the match, but even the government had fears over the spreading of virus.
Hence, the government decided to reduce the number of matches in the league. Along with that, they also took another measure of playing spectator-free matches. This act was not only appreciated but also supported by the people of Pakistan.
However, there are few players who left the country because of coronavirus. These players include:
- Alex Hales – England
- Jason Roy – England
- Tymal Mills – England
- Liam Dawson – England
- Lewis Gregory – England
- James Venice – England
- Carlos Brathwaite – West Indies
- Rilee Roussouw – West Indies
- James Foster (Coach)
However, Shane Watson told that if the national players can play then he would also like to play along with the players of Pakistan.
Well, regardless of the fact that they stay or leave, we really are grateful to these International Players who came to Pakistan and played in PSL. And we hope that the sixth season of Pakistan Super League is even more fun and filled with more International Players.
