Is Barbie Core Changing The Fashion World?
Barbiecore is the new fashion trend taking over TikTok and Instagram. With Barbie partnerships and hot pink fashion trends being all over the internet.
With the help of the “Barbie” movie promotional effort, a six-decade-old character became an instant modern icon. The movie’s PR staff has improved the technique of raising anticipation. They are doing everything possible, including creating viral selfie generators, real-life Malibu Dreamhouses that can be rented on Airbnb, display lodgings, cafes, and other brand partnerships.
It wouldn’t be inaccurate to state that the film business is in love with the film’s team for having paved the way for the next phase of movie marketing. By adorning various shades of pink, manufacturers from all over the world have grasped the opportunity to catch the eye of the Gen Z generation.
In addition to some well-known brands like Gap, NYX Cosmetics, Aldo, Fossil, Moon, Homesick, Beis, Funboy, Ruggable, Forever 21, Impala, and several others, they have also created their unique Barbie-themed ranges. A movie-inspired cake was also made in collaboration with Cold Stone Creamery, in addition to all the grooming supplies and decorations. By working with Xbox to offer pink Xbox systems and controllers and Barbie and Ken-inspired Forza Horizon 5 vehicles, “Barbie” has also created waves in the gaming business.
If the recent two years of fashion cycles have taught us anything, it’s that recollections of youth and colour have made a strong comeback (thanks to TikTok). With all the excitement over Greta Gerwig’s forthcoming “Barbie” film, the Barbiecore style has already established itself as this season’s largest fashion trend. As with Y2K fashion, it has also successfully penetrated every aspect of traditional fashion. Artists like Lizzo and Anne Hathaway are embracing the striking aesthetic, and several furniture brands are even joining in on the Barbie frenzy with bubblegum-coloured interior design items. Hot pink tones have been seen throughout this season.
Bright shades of pink (think fuchsia and magenta) and loads of glitter are key components of the 60s fashion doll’s look, which also includes fun details like feathers, gemstones, and charms. The BTS photos of Margot Robbie in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie and high-fashion artist Pierpaolo Piccioli’s jaw-dropping Spring/Summer 2022 “Valentino Pink” line are to blame for the bubblegum style revolution. We’ve loved all the Barbie outfits worn on set, especially Margot’s 1960s gingham outfit, her 1970s-style Western flare trousers and her 1980s neon rollerblading outfit.
Barbiecore is all about playing around with your ‘fit and channelling your inner child. Take inspiration from Barbiecore-loving celebrities like Megan Fox, Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and Dove Cameron to show off your Barbie vibe.
The vibrant, effervescent, and striking tint is a great mood-lifter after the pandemic’s previous two years. Perhaps for this reason, we won’t get tired of gazing at the carpet’s vibrant pink tone. Zendaya, Saweetie, Billy Porter, and Nicola Peltz, to mention a few, have all worn neon pink Valentino outfits.
Not only this but TikTok and Instagram are right now filled with influencers and content creators pinking out different Barbie-inspired outfits or testing out Barbie movie collaborations with brands like Aldo, Zara, NYX or Gap.
It’s acceptable to add the colour to your wardrobe right away given that A-listers and designers alike have all embraced the bubbly, cheerful vibe in their closets and collections. We’re all simply Barbiecore girls living in a Barbiecore society right now.
Are you excited for the Barbie-core era to continue?
