Israel Targets Iranian Sites in Syria

Syria has been in a state of war since 2011. Since then, Israel, the US, and Saudi Arabia are fighting against Syria, Russia, and Iran, respectively in Syria. What used to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, has turned out to be a country full of fallen buildings and ruins. All this has happened due to dropped bombs, rocket attacks, and suicide bombings. Where on one place, it was innocent people who had lost their lives, there, on the other hand, many different armies lost their soldiers too. The same thing happened on Monday the 20th of July 2020, when Israel dropped several bombs in Syria.

According to reports, Israelis were targeting an Iranian Ammunition Depot on the edge of the capital, Damascus. The attack not only resulted in the deaths of several Iranian Soldiers but also effected the nearby buildings. The noise was heard almost all around the capital. As per a Syrian Analyst “The Israelis have targeted a major ammunition depot. There were several strikes and the blasts were huge. There are reports that Iranian personnel have been killed”.

This might give rise to new tensions between Iran and Israel. When Iran’s General was killed in an attack, Iran made sure it took somewhat equal revenge from the US. In this case, and looking at the Iran-Israel rivalry, it seems like Iran would retaliate against the attack. And this retaliation might cost much to both the countries. And not to forget, that the US might play its role in the whole of this series of events.
