Italian Citizen Warns the World About Coronavirus
Italian citizen warns the world about coronavirus and asks them to take it seriously after WHO declares it as a global pandemic.
The World Health Organization has officially announced Coronavirus as a pandemic. After China, Italy is known to have taken a huge hit with thousands of people being affected by the virus as of now. Italy has now announced a lockdown. People are advised to stay indoors and take all necessary precautions, public gatherings and events have been canceled. Tourism has seen a downfall and it’s literally a disaster.
Amidst this chaos, an Italian citizen took it to social media to share her thoughts about the situation while also giving necessary advice. This lady named Cristina Higgins shared a status on Facebook which has received over 450,000 shares as of now.
Cristina says:
“I am writing to you from Bergamo, Italy, at the heart of the coronavirus crisis. The news media in the US has not captured the severity of what is happening here. I am writing this post because each of you, today, not the government, not the school district, not the mayor, each individual citizen has the chance, today to take actions that will deter the Italian situation from becoming your own country’s reality.”

She warns Europeans and Americans of the coronavirus by saying that these countries are weeks away from reaching the point Italy has already reached if they do not take the necessary steps. She advises others to not take it lightly.
She also wrote:
“On Monday a doctor wrote in the paper that they have begun to have to decide who lives and who dies when the patients show up in the emergency room, like what is done in war. This will only get worse.”
There’s a lack of time. The virus has spread in Italy to the point that the hallways are being used as intensive care units, there’s an overflow of patients. The medical staff is limited and even they are exhausted as they’ve been working for days with minimal rest.
Is Pakistan taking all the required steps to stop coronavirus?
Is Pakistan taking all the required steps to stop the spread, considering that we have cases of coronavirus in Pakistan as well? Prime Minister Imran Khan needs to realize the importance of this virus as Italy has seen a downfall because of the failure to accept coronavirus as an alarming disease. We need to be more cautious after WHO’s statement calling it a pandemic. People are already going crazy over twitter and requesting Imran Khan to take strict actions
No room for complacency, slow response after the recent announcement by WHO. The federal cabinet and provincial CMs should meet ASAP and work on a public health response to #COVD19 focusing on prevention! https://t.co/1a9NJvT314

Pakistan's low numbers at this point most likely reflects a lack of testing. https://t.co/S0R8DfXRw8

Its a tough & difficult time for humanity all over the world.
Everyone please don't spread rumors/unverified news. It creates panic of all sorts. It will be great if we act responsibly.#COVID #CoronavirusPandemic— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) March 12, 2020
