Jemima Khan Has Cut Ties With The TV Show “The Crown”

Jemima Khan, who joined the production of the hit British drama, has cut off ties with the show due to its portrayal of Princess Diana.

Jemima Khan has officially cut off ties with the hit British drama show “The Crown”, over its portrayal of Princess Diana’s story.

Khan, who was a close friend of the late Princess of Wales, joined the fifth season as a co-writer. She worked alongside the show’s creator Peter Morgan to help him depict the story of Princess Diana more accurately.

These included the final moment of Diana’s life such as her relationships with Hasnat Khan and Dodi Fayed.

Jemima Khan is unhappy about the show's portrayal of Princess Diana

In an interview with the Sunday Times, she claimed that she worked alongside the writers from September 2020 to February 2021. However, Khan left as a result of what she believed was a disrespectful and uncompassionate portrayal of Princess Diana.

The creators of the show argued that Jemima Khan was never asked to work on the script. They claimed that she was only just part of a wide network of sources that helped provide vital information.

As for the show, the fifth season is slated for release in November of this year on Netflix. The show is about the life of the longest serving monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth II.

The role of the show’s protagonist will be portrayed by Imelda Staunton. The role of Princess Diana will be depicted by Elizabeth Debicki.
