“Malaysia’s entry sanctions to the long-tired pass holders for nations that recalled COVID-19 positive cases over 150,000 cases.”

Malaysia bans Pakistan and apart from it, the other countries included in the ban are India, USA, Brazil, Russia, Peru, Colombia, South Africa, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Iran, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, France, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Iraq, Philippines and Indonesia.

Malaysia has less than 10,000 reported cases of COVID-19, of which 128 led to deaths. The country has been taking necessary precautions in order to stop the virus from spreading even more. Malaysia has been successful in recovering most of the reported cases. However, the threat of spreading remains there as international flights have resumed and other countries have a higher number of active cases.

The ban covers six categories of entry visas, including travelers with a permanent resident status; Malaysia My Second Home program participants; expatriates, including professional visit pass holders, and resident pass holders. Spouses of Malaysian residents, their children, and students who are studying in Malaysia have also been barred if they come under the list of countries that are banned.

In cases of emergencies, the Immigration Department of Malaysia will grant permission after assessing the case.
