Movie Review – Chhalawa

Chhalawa was released on Eid-ul-Fitr and it is definitely full of entertainment.

Chhalawa is a fun and humorous movie with a pinch of love and family drama. It is directed by Wajahat Rauf. Wajahat has previously released two movies namely Karachi Se Lahore and Lahore Se Aagey which were gigantic in cinemas. Both of these previous movies of Wajahat skyrocketed in box office and earned a lot. His passion and dedication can be seen through his hard work and efforts that he invests into his movies to bring quality content to his audience.

The main role is played by the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz holder Mehwish Hayat and the very talented Azfar Rehman. They both have acted and played their roles exceptionally well. Mehwish plays Zoya and Azfar plays Sameer. The plot is that Zoya and Sameer love each and want to get married but Zoya’s father, Chaudhry Rafaqat, wants to marry his daughter to his brother’s son.

To unite the duo, Sameer’s friend Luqman, who is played by Asad Siddiqui, comes up with a plan to impersonate a pir and convince Zoya’s father that he can put an end to this love affair. Meanwhile, the fake pir falls in love with Zoya’s younger sister Haya, who is played by Zara Noor Abbas. What happens next is something one should go and find out themselves by watching the movie as we guarantee that you’ll not get bored at all.

It is full of entertainment and a great laughter pack. A movie that should be watched with people who love to have fun and be entertained as it will keep you occupied throughout. The film did pretty well in cinemas over the Eid holidays.
