Out With The Old, In With The Bold

We have all heard that colors are the smiles of nature. Sometimes all you need is a little splash of color. The joy of dressing is an art. Wear bold colors as you are the window through which you must see the world. Be bold, be happy, be yourself!

Black

“One is never over or under-dressed when they wear black”

Black indicates power and prestige and it is seen as the most attractive color. Someone who wears black expresses self-sufficiency. People who wear all black are often driven, but sensitive. Black is the color to wear when you’re trying to impress, reassure or woo. There’s a certain trustworthiness about it. Black came first or second in most ‘good’ traits. As it turns out, it’s the most attractive, self-assured, confidence-exuding and calming color.

Scarlet Red

“Tell them you’re strong, tell them you’re enough”

Red is not a single color, there are plenty of shades of red and each shade is perceived differently. Red is one of the bright colors to wear. It is very eye-catchy and it is associated with love, passion and power.

Scarlet red exudes power, energy, excitement and passion. It makes peoples’ hearts beat faster. Wear scarlet red when you want to be assertive, need an energy boost. Scarlet is effective as an accessory to project energy.

Peacock blue

“She is a peacock in everything but beauty”

Peacock blue represents authority, structure, dependability and loyalty. Some shades or too much of blue can project coldness. Wear peacock blue when you want to exude power, have mental control, be conservative, respected or communicate an important message. Don’t wear blue when you feel isolated, depressed, and critical.

Magenta

“Too glam to give a damn”

Magenta purple represents love, affection and serenity. Wear it when you want to feel feminine and lovable. Magenta is associated with prosperity, spirituality and sophistication. When overused it communicates ostentatious behavior. Wear purple to project wisdom, trust, release destructive emotions.

Mustard

“Go forth and set the world on fire”

Mustard yellow is associated with happiness, freedom, optimism and mental concentration. Yellow speeds metabolism. Some shades suggest cowardice; golden shades promise good times. Wear mustard when you need to attend to details, maintain mental alertness, and feel happy. Use sparingly because it can be overpowering. Avoid yellow when you’re fearful, want to evade attention, relax.
