Pak vs NZ: NZ Completes Tests With Crushing Win

As Pakistan's cricket team flew to New Zealand to participate in the Pak vs NZ Test Series, New Zealand defeats Pakistan in a clean sweep 2-0.

On Wednesday, 6th January, Team Pakistan was bowled out at 186 runs by Team New Zealand after their runnings of 176 runs, making them win the Pak vs NZ Test Series by 2-0.

Jamieson took three of the four wickets to fall after lunch as Pakistan went to tea on day four in Christchurch at 134 for seven, needing a further 228 runs to make New Zealand bat again in Pak vs NZ. The 6’8 bowler, Jamieson, had figures of six for 38 to go with his five-for 69 in the first innings to become the first bowler to take more than 10 wickets in a Test at Hagley Oval.

Even though Jamieson is a junior player as compared to Tim Southee and Trent Boult, with his impeccable performances he has definitely reached the senior player rank. The Pak vs NZ series is his sixth Test after making his debut against India, 10 months ago. Jamieson has taken 35 wickets and has four five-wicket hauls to his name.

Basically, as Pakistan resumed the day at one down for eight, and needing to bat for the better part of two days to salvage a draw, Boult took the first wicket when he had Mohammad Abbas out for three in the fifth over during the Pak vs NZ Test series.

However, after Boult’s wicket, Jamieson took the lead and all anyone can do is talk about him! He removed Abid Ali for 26 to go with his dismissal of Shan Masood the previous evening and Pakistan was 69 for three at noon. Jamieson also gave a tough time to Azhar Ali and Haris Sohail, as well as the Pak vs NZ Team Captain, Muhammad Rizwan, scoring a 98-6.

Sohail only managed to score a 15, which was probably the best score by the player in this disappointing tour. While Azhar attempted to take the fight back to Jamieson, he only managed to score a 37. After which, Jamieson bowled right up to Azhar’s ribs and it was in the wicketkeeper’s hands, announcing Azhar Ali as out for the Pak vs NZ series.

Muhammad Rizwan was also bowled out by Jamieson on a full-day delivery. While Boult came back for his second wicket of the day and managed to bowl out Fawad Alam at 16, leaving only Faheem Ashraf and Zafar Gohar to score. Declaring New Zealand as the clear winners in the Pak vs NZ Series!
