Pakistan Launches its First Tourism Tv Channel “Discover Pakistan”

Pakistan has launched a tourism-focused satellite tv channel, “Discover Pakistan” which went live on Saturday and marked the inauguration of the first-ever step towards promoting satellite tourism in the country. The announcement was made through the channel’s social media page and was also publicized by the local cable operators.

 

Discover Pakistan broadcasts HD-high definition to exhibit the country’s natural wonders and scenic beauty and to raise awareness locally and mainly internationally. Pakistan is gifted with so many beautiful carved landscapes, valleys, and scenic beauty that everyone is in awe of. The channel aims to bring these to notice on a global level through original documentaries, coverage of tourism-related events and developments, and a morning show bringing all of these aspects into notice.

Our Prime Minister, Imran Khan is the figurehead behind the idea of promoting our tourist industry as he has always been a pioneer of promoting the scenic beauty and historical places that our country is blessed with. This vision has been a work in progress since the year 2017 and has finally been able to launch, with an impressive following of nearly a million.

Discover Pakistan’s live streaming is also available on App and Google play store. The development is one of the steps taken to promote tourism by the government in order to generate greater revenues from the tourism industry. Its mission is to show the most beautiful places in Pakistan with the aim of bringing quality content to the viewers.

The Instagram of Discover Pakistan is also filled with pictures and videos that try their level best to do justice to the alluring beauty that our country possesses.

Other such initiatives include a tourism incubation program launched in Abbottabad in 2017, the Punjab Tourism App, and the engagement of local Youtubers to promote tourism by the government. All of these efforts have been made to promote and highlight our tourism industry.

Overall, the efforts to pertain security measures, facilitate international tourists and government policies have led the Tourism industry to witness a high level of success, causing a massive increase in international and local tourism in the country.
