Pamper Yourself during Quarantine with DIY Face Masks

Quarantine got us all stuck at home but worry not, we've come up with some face mask recipes that you can pamper yourself with, in the comfort of your home!

I’m assuming that you all have a lot of time on your hands these days. Everyone is home and finding ways to be productive and kill time. Some of us have to work from home and at times it just gets way too boring. I have narrowed down a few recipes that can make your skin soft, supple and glowy! All the ingredients required to create these face masks will definitely be available in your home or kitchen.

Strawberry Face Mask

Strawberries are in season these days and you can find them at every fruit stall. You can eat them or apply them on your face as you’ll get great results from both but during these days, your skin needs extra nourishment and pampering.

Ingredients:

  • 6-10 fresh strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Method:

  1. Mash the strawberries with a hand blender or in a mixer along with the honey. Try to use fresh strawberries for better results.
  2. Apply this mask on your face for about 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse off with lukewarm water and follow it by a wash with cold water.

Aloe Vera Mask

Aloe vera is a magical product that nature has blessed up with. It is beneficial for a lot of things such as hair growth, body cleansing and whatnot. You can use aloe vera on your face and get glowing results.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 2 tablespoons milk cream
  • A pinch of turmeric

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients to form a paste-like consistency.
  2. Apply this evenly on the face and neck.
  3. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Gently scrub and rinse with lukewarm water.

Tomato & Cucumber Mask

Tomatoes help in soothing sunburn, shrink pores & tighten skin, revive dull skin and many other issues. The benefits are countless but visible and combined with cucumber, it provides a very cooling affect to the skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Ripe Tomato
  • 1/4 Cucumber

Method:

  1. Wash and peel your 1/4 cucumber.
  2. Blend it to a fine pulp with 1/2 tomato.
  3. Apply the mixture to your skin and scrub in a gentle circular motion.
  4. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

These three simple yet highly effective recipes for face masks will surely help in rejuvenating your skin. The whole process is also quite satisfying as you know what you’re putting on your skin as compared to chemicals that might have an adverse reaction.
